Happy New Year's Eve bookworms! Since the year is almost over, it's time to make some New Year's Resolutions, and I thought I would share some bookish ones with you. So get comfy, grab a warm drink and hang out for a while as I share 3 bookish resolutions with you for 2021.

Finish More Series

I am horrible when it comes to finishing series! I get two or three books in, and then get distracted by a shiny new book. I am finally reading Kingdom of Ash right now to finish the Throne of Glass series, but it has taken probably 5 years to read this series in its entirety. Right now, the series I am in the middle of are; Three Dark Crowns, The Lunar Chronicles, Percy Jackson, The Scythe Trilogy and The Dark Artifices Trilogy. That's way more series than I would like, and don't even get me started on the series on my shelf that I haven't even started.

Read More Books Than I Buy

Okay, I admit it, I have a book buying problem. As of right now, I have 115 unread books on my shelf, with 3 more on the way. As of now, I am putting myself on a book buying ban until at least March, but that is a separate goal rather than a resolution. The actual resolution is that I want to read more books than I buy in 2021. I really need to make a dent in my TBR pile on my shelf, and I think this may be the best way. If we're being honest, I know that I am going to buy books in 2021, but I am trying to limit the amount that I do buy.

Read Some of Those OLD Books

By old books, I do not mean books that were written a long time ago. I mean those books that have been on my shelf since probably high school. There are plenty of books that I bought on impulse a few years ago that have been sitting on my shelf ever since then, and it is time that I read them. Even if I bought them on impulse, I must be at least slightly interested in them, right?

Other than that, I have other life goals for 2021, but I think 3 is a good number for strictly bookish resolutions. Happy New Year everyone. Here's to a better 2021!
