Happy New Year Bookworms! I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year's Eve. Today I am continuing with my monthly TBR postings. In December, I managed to read all 4 books that I set out to read, and even get about halfway through on another one, but more on that later.

This month, I will be starting school again while still working, so I am setting myself a low and realistic goal as I assume my reading will decrease significantly while I am getting used to the change. So, without further adieu, let's get into it.

It is finally happening. I am finally reading the 980 page behemoth that is Kingdom of Ash. I have been putting off reading this book for so long solely because it is going to take me FOREVER to read, but I finally picked it up a few days ago, and I am confident that I can finish it this month. This is the epic finale to the Throne of Glass series that is the culmination of the events from 7 previous books, including a prequel and a spinoff. I knew I was going to love this book, but I had to wait for the right time so I could devote a lot of my time to sitting down and reading it. If you have not picked up this series, I know it is intimidating, but I promise it is worth it.

What It's About: The epic finale focuses on the battle to end all battles for the safety of Erilea. That's really all I can say without giving any spoilers!

My Predicted Rating: 5/5 stars, and we are definitely on track to hit this mark.

I know I said in my resolutions post that I would try to read more books that have been on my shelf forever, but I just cannot wait with this one. I have been hearing about this book for such a long time that I need to read it now! This is definitely also a strategic pick after Kingdom of Ash as well, because November 9 is a shorter, standalone, contemporary book. I have all of my tissues ready, and I can't wait to dive in.

What It's About: A young woman meets a man on her last day in L.A., and they spend the whole day together. Following that day, the pair realize what they have been searching for, and continue to meet on that same day every year.

My Predicted Rating: 5/5 stars. Duh. It's Colleen Hoover.

I'm going to be honest... this book sounds like trashy fun, which is exactly what I am looking for. I got this book about 4 or 5 years ago, so this absolutely lends itself to my resolution. I've never seen an Audrey Hepburn movie, but I know enough about her general reputation that I am hoping for this book to make sense to me.

What It's About: An actress who loves classic movies, particularly Breakfast at Tiffany's, finds herself sitting next to Audrey Hepburn on her couch. What's more, Audrey is giving the woman advice.

My Predicted Rating: 3.5/5 stars. I'm not expecting this book to blow me away, but rather just be an easy read for me to lose myself in.

Like I said, I am taking it easy this month to adjust to the transition of school and work, so I am setting a low, achievable goal. Maybe I'll read more, but we will see what the first month of 2021 brings us. Happy New Year bookworms!
