Hey bookworms! Today I want to start a new monthly posting idea. Each month, let's go over my monthly TBR plan and predict what the rating will be. So, without further ado, here is what I am planning to read in the month of December.

From what I can tell, this is going to be a creepy, stalker thriller. I know what you're thinking... "very holiday of you Devin". Honestly, I have been eyeing this book for a while and I am finally getting to it. If I had to pick a favourite genre, thriller may be it. Especially with the cold stormy weather coming, curling up with this book sounds ideal for me.

What it's about: Susannah remarries a man named Max after her first husband passes away and everything seems to be perfect. That is until she receives mysterious and vaguely threatening notes on her door.

My predicted rating: 4/5 stars. Based on the reviews and the synopsis, I am predicting a solid 4 star read. This book sounds right up my alley!

I read Where Rainbows End by Ceclia Ahern a few years ago, and ever since then I have been meaning to pick up another one of her books. This is supposed to be a story of female empowerment that every woman should read. It seems to be a truly inspiring collection of stories and I am super excited to pick it up.

What it's about: A collection of short stories to show what it means to be a woman in today's day and age.

My predicted rating: 5/5 stars. I am a sucker for stories of female empowerment.

Warcross by Marie Liu

I have heard nothing but good things about this book and it has been staring at me from my bookshelf for far too long. I have also been meaning to read a book by Marie Liu since high school, but I just have not picked one up yet. I know this is the start of a series, so I am excited to get to know these new characters and this new world. Also, the premise reminds me of Ready Player One which was one of my favourite reads of 2019.

What it's about: A teen hacker who makes money catching people illegally betting on a game online accidentally becomes an overnight sensation at that same game.

My predicted rating: 5/5 stars. This book sounds like it is right up my alley and I have heard enough good things about this book to be confident in my prediction.

Left Neglected by Lisa Genova

I was left speechless by Still Alice by the same author, so I am looking forward to seeing what she has in store for this novel. Genova is a master at pulling the heartstrings in her stories and creating narratives around devastatingly tragic real-life situations. I am ready to bawl my eyes out.

What it's about: After a devastating car accident, a woman is left with a severe brain injury that forces her to reevaluate and relearn her life.

My predicted rating: 4/5 stars. I have all of the tissues ready.

So there you have it, that is my December TBR. Hope you guys are having a great December and preparing for the holiday season. Let me know what you are planning to read this month in the comments!
